Water Water, Everywhere?

A mural near Majestic bust stand

Street mural done as part of the St+Art festival in Bangalore.

The site of the mural is the beginning of an underpass on Dhanvantari road, next to Kempegowda (earlier know as Majestic) bus stand.

The development of the bus stand, railway station and now the metro station has taken place over or near former tank beds.

The Kempegowda bus station stands on the Dharmambudhi tank that dried up over a period of time. The mural draws inspiration from this context and symbolizes a power play over Bangalore’s tanks and their system of flows and overflows of water,

which is unique to the city's terrain.
